From January 7 – 9, Doceree joined global leaders of the pharma sector in the United Arab Emirates at the Dubai World Trade Centre for the 27th annual DUPHAT Conference, the leading pharmaceutical industry educational and networking event. This once-a-year event draws visibility beyond just the UAE, with stakeholders from the entire Middle East region present. This blog post shares our experience, highlights, and key takeaways from the event.
About DUPHAT 2024
DUPHAT 2024 hosted more than 22,000 pharmaceutical professionals, academics, and experts from 82 countries worldwide for three days of scientific presentations, workshops, and highly specialized sessions covering various segments of the pharmaceutical industry specially designed for pharmacists and pharma industry professionals. The event also brought together 1,000 exhibitors, including the top 100 global companies in the pharmaceutical industry.
This Year’s event included 100+ lectures focusing on a wide class of patented, OTC/OTX, and generic drugs. Specifically, key topics included medicine safety, quality use of medicines, drug counterfeiting, personalized management of pain, pharmacy-based vaccination, impacts of healthcare inefficiency, credentialing and privileging, optimizing patient care, pharmacoepidemiology with real-world evidence and life cycle of drug development, access to medicines, the role of the pharmacist in deep phenotyping, apart from many other topics of importance. It also highlighted the latest policies and regulations governing the safety and efficacy of drug administration in the Middle East and Africa. It provided an excellent platform to discuss, learn, and share ideas that will enhance the future of the region’s pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.

Doceree’s team interacted with several clients, demonstrating our capabilities in geo-based targeting, which helps maximize pharma brands’ digital reach.

DUPHAT 2024 explored cutting-edge topics reflecting the dynamic evolution of pharmaceutical science. A unique series of content presented by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) featured a session on the challenges of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and workshops discussing best practices and examples of exceptional service in the pharmaceutical sector. Additionally, the event included a specialized program sponsored by Axios International highlighting the role of patient access in achieving sustainable healthcare. During the “Pioneering a Sustainable Access Ecosystem” program, Doceree found Dr. Joseph Saba’s, Axios International CEO and Co-Founder, session on understanding the unmet needs and challenges of healthcare accessibility particularly insightful. During the session, he explored the integral link between accessibility and sustainability in the healthcare ecosystem.
Additional insights from the conference involved the effects of big data and AI in the pharmaceutical industry. Sessions such as “Real-World Evidence: The Impact of Big Data on Clinical Decisions,” “The Future of Healthcare: AI’s Influence on Medical Education and Patient Support,” “Rise of The Machine: Artificial Intelligence for Maximum Pharmacist Impact,” and “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Quality Improvement of Healthcare Services” emphasized the evolving and accelerating role of IT in the global pharmaceutical landscape.
Final Thoughts on DUPHAT 2024

Overall, DUPHAT provided tremendous exposure for Doceree within the industry as an AI-powered marketing enabler.
