Introduction

This Advertiser Content Policy (“Policy”) outlines the standards for all advertisementssubmitted to Doceree. We are committed to providing a positive experience for our users and maintaining a high-quality environment

If you fail to comply with this Policy, we reserve the right to disable ad serving to your app/website and/or disable your Doceree account at any time. If your account is disabled, you will not be eligible for further participation in the Doceree program

1. General Guidelines

  1. Legal and Ethical: All advertisements must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where your ads are targeted. You must not promote illegal activities or products, including (but not limited to) gambling, illegal drugs, weapons, tobacco products (where applicable), or agerestricted goods without proper verification procedures.
  2. Truthful and Accurate: Truthful and Accurate: Advertisements must be truthful, not misleading, and based on verifiable claims. Avoid exaggerated statements, unsubstantiated benefits, or deceptive pricing information.
  3. Respectful: Advertisements should be respectful towards all users. Content should not be discriminatory, offensive, or hateful based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other personal characteristics.
  4. Brand Safety: : We reserve the right to reject advertisements that we believe could damage our brand reputation or user experience. This includes content that is low quality, promotes violence, or contradicts our core values.

2. Prohibited Content

  1. Sexually Explicit Content
    1. Nudity and Sexually Oriented Content – any content that depicts explicit nudity, sexual acts, or sexually suggestive imagery. It encompasses pornography, adult entertainment websites, and any material intended solely for sexual gratification.

      Nudity – examples may include, but are not limited to, pages with images, videos, or descriptions containing:

      • pornographic images, videos, or games
      • pornographic cartoons or anime (hentai/ecchi)
      • nudity

      Sexually Oriented Content – examples of content that may be considered sexually oriented include, but are not limited to:

      • close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches
      • sheer or see-through clothing or lingerie
      • strategically covered nudity (includes situations in which genitals are blurred out by camera)
      • images of men or women posing and/or undressing in a seductive manner
    2. Sexual Aids and Sexual Dating Sites – products or services related to sexual aids, such as sex toys, enhancement supplements, or adult dating websites, fall into this category.

      Sexual Aids – examples may include, but are not limited to:

      • bestiality, necrophilia, incest, and voyeurism
      • role-playing, bondage, dominance, and submission
      • sadomasochism, snuff

      Sexual Dating – examples may include, but are not limited to:

      • personal ads and/or sites for affairs and/or sexual encounters
      • escort services
      • mail order brides
      • erotic massage services
    3. Adult Link Sites – websites that primarily serve as gateways to adult content or redirect users to explicit material are prohibited. This includes link directories, redirect pages, or any platform designed to lead users to adult-oriented content.

    4. Sexual Tips – content offering explicit sexual advice, techniques, or suggestive content intended to arouse or titillate users is prohibited.

      Examples may include, but are not limited to:

      • advice about improving sexual performance
      • discussions and/or images of sexually transmitted diseases
      • sexual health advice related to pregnancy, childbirth, or family planning
    5. Child Abuse Content – any illegal and harmful material that depicts or describes the sexual abuse of children is prohibited. Doceree absolutely prohibits monetization of content related to child sexual abuse imagery or pedophilia.

      “Child sexual abuse imagery” means visual depictions of minors (i.e., under 18) engaged in a sexual act such as intercourse, oral sex, or masturbation as well as the lascivious depictions of the genitals (covered or uncovered). This definition extends to photographs, videos, cartoons, drawings, paintings, and sculptures. The image can involve a real child; a computer-generated, morphed, composite or otherwise altered image that appears to be a child (think “Photoshop”). This also includes soliciting minors for sexual acts, which is also known as “enticement.”

      “Pedophilia’ means any content or behavior (images, texts, videos, etc.) that depicts, encourages, or promotes sexual attraction by adults toward minors (i.e., under 18).

      Furthermore, Doceree strictly prohibits the hosting, displaying, uploading, modification, transmission, storage, updating, or sharing of any information that violates the following guidelines:

      1. Content that belongs to another person without proper authorization.
      2. Content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of privacy, insulting or harassing based on gender, libellous, racially, or ethnically objectionable, promotes money laundering or gambling, or is otherwise unlawful.
      3. Content that is harmful to children.
      4. Content that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary rights.
      5. Content that violates any applicable laws.
      6. Content that deceives or misleads others, or knowingly communicates false or misleading information.
      7. Content that impersonates another person.
      8. Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security, or sovereignty of a nation, or incites criminal activity.
      9. Content that contains viruses or malicious software.
      10. Content that is patently false and intended to mislead or harm for financial gain or to cause injury.
  2. Discriminatory or Derogatory Content:
    1. Derogatory Content – any content that contains hate speech, discriminatory language, or derogatory remarks targeting individuals or groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics is prohibited.

      “Hate Speech” mean any content that attacks a person or group based on attributes like race, religion, ethnic origin, national origin, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • threatening physical or mental harm on oneself or others;
      • harasses, intimidates, or bullies an individual or group of individuals;
      • threatening someone with real-life harm or calling for the attack of another person;
      • advocating suicide, anorexia, or other self-harm;
      • content that promotes or advocates for harmful health or medical claims or practices;
      • content that singles out someone for abuse or harassment;
      • content promoting, glorifying, or condoning violence against others on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization;
      • content that encourages others to believe that a person or group is inhuman, inferior, or worthy of being hated on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization;
      • content promoting hate groups or hate group paraphernalia;
      • content that suggests a tragic event did not happen, or that victims or their families are actors, or complicit in a cover-up of the event;
      • content made by or in support of terrorist groups or content that promotes terrorist acts, including recruitment, or that celebrates terrorist attacks.
  3. Substance Related Content:
    1. Recreational Drug Content – promoting the recreational use of drugs, drug paraphernalia, or any content related to illegal substances are prohibited.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • Promotion of substances that alter mental state for the purpose of recreation or otherwise induce “highs”. Examples: cocaine, crystal meth, heroin, marijuana, cocaine substitutes, mephedrone, “legal highs”
      • Products or services marketed as facilitating recreational drug use. Examples: Pipes, bongs, cannabis coffee shops
      • Instructional content about producing, purchasing, or using recreational drugs. Examples: forums to exchange tips or recommendations on drug use
    2. Alcohol Content – promoting excessive or irresponsible drinking, underage drinking, or alcohol brands targeting minors is not permitted.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • Online sale of alcoholic beverages.
      • Promotion of irresponsible alcohol consumption, including the favorable portrayal of excessive, binge, or competition drinking.
    3. Tobacco related content – content that promotes tobacco and tobacco-related products, including cigarettes, cigars, tobacco pipes, and rolling papers is prohibited. Any promotion of prohibited content includes providing links to pages that do not follow our tobacco-related content policies.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • Online sale of alcoholic beverages.
      • Promotion of irresponsible alcohol consumption, including the favorable portrayal of excessive, binge, or competition drinking.
  4. Online Behavior and Security:
    1. Hacking – promoting hacking tools, services, or techniques designed to compromise security systems or invade privacy are not allowed.
    2. Privacy Violations – sharing personal information about someone else without their consent is prohibited.
    3. Malicious Code – uploading files that contain viruses or other malware can be prohibited.
    4. Doxxing – publicly revealing private or identifying information about someone, often with the intent to harass or harm them, is not permitted. Doxxing can include a person’s home address, phone number, financial information, or other sensitive details.
    5. Phishing Scams – content that impersonates a legitimate source to trick users into revealing personal information is banned.
  5. Misleading Content:
    1. Misrepresented Content – any content containing false or misleading information, deceptive claims, or fraudulent offers is prohibited.

      “Misleading Information” means information that is demonstrably false or misleading, especially if it is intended to manipulate or deceive people.

      “Deceptive Claims” means false claims about a product or service or that mislead users about their true purpose.

  6. Violence and Weapon Related Content:
    1. Shock or Weapon Related Content – graphic violence, gore, or content promoting weapons, explosives, or other dangerous items are prohibited. Furthermore, promoting any material that depicts violence in a way that could be upsetting to users, or that encourages violence or hatred against individuals or groups, including but not limited to threats and harassment, are strictly prohibited.

      Shock Related Content – examples may include, but are not limited to:

      • Content containing gruesome, graphic, or disgusting accounts or imagery (e.g., blood, guts, gore, sexual fluids, human or animal waste, crime scene or accident photos)
      • Content depicting acts of violence (e.g., accounts or images of shootings, explosions, or bombings; execution videos; violent acts committed against animals)
      • Content depicting acts of violence (e.g., accounts or images of shootings, explosions, or bombings; execution videos; violent acts committed against animals)
    2. Weapon related content – examples may include, but are not limited to:

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • sale of firearms, including but is not limited to handguns, rifles, shotguns, hunting guns, functioning antique guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, bb guns, and 3D printed guns;
      • sale of a firearm-related part or component that is essential to or enhances the functionality of a firearm. This includes but is not limited to 80% finished gun-parts, ammunition, ammunition clips, silencers, ammunition belts, stocks, conversion kits, gun-grips, scopes and sights;
      • instructions about the assembly, enhancement or acquisition of any firearms including parts or components thereof. This includes, but is not limited to firearm-making instructions, guides, software or equipment for 3D printing of guns or gun parts;
      • sale of products that are designed to explode or could cause damage to nearby people or property. This includes but is not limited to explosives, nail bombs, chemical bombs, any fireworks that explode, firecrackers, and grenades;
      • instructional content about the assembly, enhancement or acquisition of explosive items;
      • sale of other weapons that are designed to (in modern-day usage) injure an opponent in sport, self-defense, or combat. This includes but is not limited to the sale of throwing stars, brass knuckles, pepper spray;
      • sale of knives designed to provide a confrontational advantage. This includes disguised appearance or assisted-opening mechanisms such as switchblades, fighting knives, sword-canes, balisongs, military knives, push daggers, throwing axes;
      • promote the use of weapons to inflict harm on others.
  7. Health and Gambling Related Content:
    1. Healthcare Related Content – any misleading or deceptive healthcare claims, unproven medical treatments, or unlicensed pharmaceutical products are prohibited from being advertised.

      Examples may include, but are not limited to:

      • Sale of unapproved pharmaceuticals and supplements;
      • All items on this non-exhaustive list of prohibited pharmaceuticals and supplements (e.g., products that contain Ephedra);
      • Herbal and dietary supplements with active pharmaceutical or dangerous ingredients;
      • Products with names that are confusingly like an unapproved pharmaceutical or supplement or controlled substance.
    2. Gambling – promoting online gambling, sports betting, or other forms of illegal or unregulated gambling activities are prohibited.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • Online casinos or bookmakers
      • Online lottery ticket or scratch card purchase
      • Online sports betting
      • Aggregator or affiliate sites that promote online gambling pages
  8. General Prohibitions:
    1. Comment Spam – comment spam involves the indiscriminate posting of irrelevant or unsolicited comments on online platforms for promotional purposes.

      Examples of comment spam include but are not limited to repetitive or automated comments that detract from the user experience, random sentences and/or portions of sentences to forum posts that have been copied and pasted from other sources, random and/or nonsensical words, and phrases that are unrelated to the topic.

    2. Unwanted Commercial Messages – means any promotional emails, text messages, or social media posts that a user did not opt-in to receive are prohibited.
    3. Illegal or Banned Content – any activity promoting illegal activities, prohibited substances, counterfeit goods, or services that violate platform terms of service are prohibited.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • sale or promote the sale of counterfeit goods.

        Counterfeit goods contain a trademark or logo that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from the trademark of another. They mimic the brand features of the product in an attempt to pass themselves off as a genuine product of the brand owner.

    4. Dishonest Behavior – encouraging fraudulent activity, deceptive practices, or dishonest behavior are not permitted.

      Examples may include, but not limited to:

      • content that promotes creating fake or false documents such as passports, diplomas, or accreditation;
      • content that promotes creation of fake or false identities;
      • cale or distribution of term papers, paper-writing or exam-taking services;
      • information or products for passing drug tests;
      • content that promotes fraudulent activity.
    5. Copyright Infringement – using material that is protected by copyright law without permission from the copyright holder is not permitted.

4. Additional Requirements

  1. Clear Identification: The product being advertised must be clearly identified in the ad. This includes the company name and a clear description of the offer.
  2. Professional Language: Use of professional language with correct spelling and grammar. Avoid excessive use of exclamation points, all caps, or emojis that detract from the message.
  3. Targeting: Targeting options should be used responsibly and not in a discriminatory manner. Avoid targeting based on sensitive demographics such as race, religion, or health conditions unless directly relevant to the advertised product.

5. Approval Process

All creatives are subject to review and approval. We reserve the right to reject any advertisement that does not comply with this Policy or our technical specifications. We will provide feedback on rejected ads and suggest improvements for resubmission.

6. Enforcement

We reserve the right to review, reject, or remove any advertisements that violate this Policy. We may act against advertisers who violate this Policy, including but not limited to:

  1. Rejection of individual advertisements
  2. Suspension or termination of campaigns
  3. Withholding of payments for non-compliant ads
  4. Reporting violations to relevant authorities

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Advertisers are encouraged to check for any changes to the policy regularly.
